Bring Hope and Spiritual Support to Families by providing a safe place for the community center
The community building in the center of our Hope Village sustained earthquake damage and needs repair. We are raising funds to cover the costs of refurbishing the building by repairing cracks in the foundation and walls and also replacing doors and windows. We also need to purchase tables and chairs.
Making these improvements will allow us to start a sewing program in the village, which will train woman how to start a micro business. We have already launched a sewing program in Deschamps which has been very successful and we are excited to multiply this effort in Jeremie.
Additionally, we will be able to use the community center as a place of worship, discipleship, prayer, and Bible studies.
The building is currently unused due to its physical condition. Once the repairs are made, it will again be a blessing to the residents of our Hope Village.
The total cost for this project is estimated at $12,000. Due to the kindness of a generous donor, we have $6,000 already pledged as a matching grant. All donations will be matched up to $6,000 to help us reach our goal.
